Sarah Ibbotson
I've been practising yoga for over 40 years and teaching for more than 20. I trained in India as a Classical Hatha Yoga teacher and have since expanded my teaching to include Vinyasa Flow, alignment-based yoga, Yin Yoga with deep relaxation and meditation, and Aerial Yoga. My Aerial classes follow the same traditional principles and postures as a mat class, with the hammock offering support and allowing you to explore movement in a fun and accessible way. For many years I owned two yoga studios in New Zealand, Yoga Savitri, where I taught a wide variety of classes and hosted yoga retreats throughout New Zealand and Indonesia. Teaching people from all walks of life has only strengthened my belief that yoga truly is for everyone. My classes focus on mindful movement, good alignment, and helping you better understand your body. I also weave breath work, chanting, and sound into my teaching to create a practice that supports both physical and mental wellbeing. I love creating a warm, welcoming space where everyone feels comfortable, whatever their age, ability, or experience. Yoga should be enjoyable as well as nourishing, so don't be surprised if there's plenty of laughter along the way! Having experienced life's many changes, including pregnancy and menopause, I understand that our practice evolves with us, and I'm passionate about making yoga accessible to every body. Having recently moved to St Leonards, I'm so excited to become part of this wonderful community. I can't wait to meet you, share my love of yoga, and practise together.
